High above the Forth in South Queensferry, The Crab & Lobster Fish Shack captures the romance of the coast.
Sea air, open water and the gentle theatre of fishing boats set the scene for a menu shaped by Scotland’s shores. Hand-dived scallops, creel-caught shellfish and buttered lobster are prepared simply, allowing the quality of the catch to speak for itself.
Inspired by the relaxed elegance of Cape Cod and the Hamptons, the Shack offers a taste of the Atlantic — without leaving Scotland.

Our kitchen moves with the tides.
From delicately crisp tempura oysters to generous lobster suppers and beautifully arranged seafood platters, each dish is cooked to order and served at its peak. Seasonal specials reflect the day’s landings and the shifting character of the sea.

The haddock and chips the fish was as fresh as a daisy and the batter crispy and light. Chips were excellent really hot and crispy on the outside fluffy on the inside. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves fish and chips. The staff were very friendly. The service was excellent.
A great effort all round.
We had crab nachos and caviar crisps to share as appetisers – lovely and the portion sizes were very generous. The tortilla crisps went gloriously well with sour cream, crabs and other flavours.
The homemade tartare sauce is the nicest I have tasted. A great looking menu for another visit. All of the staff were really friendly and had extensive menu knowledge.
