Four nominations, three prestigious awards ceremonies and one very excited team! There’s plenty to celebrate at The Crab & Lobster Fish Shack as we look ahead to an exciting November, with our name on the shortlist for some fantastic Scottish hospitality awards.
We’re absolutely delighted to share that we’ve been nominated across three major awards, recognising everything from our approach to the traditional fish and chip experience to the hard work and passion that goes into making the Shack what it is today.
And while we’re keeping everything crossed for the big nights, we already feel incredibly honoured to be in such fabulous company.
The 2026 SLTN Awards
We’re kicking off November in style at the 2026 Scottish Licensed Trade News (SLTN) Awards, in association with Pepsi MAX, where we’re finalists for New Business of the Year.
Taking place on 5th November at the Hilton Glasgow, the SLTN Awards celebrate the very best of Scotland’s hospitality and licensed trade industry. To be recognised among the businesses making their mark on Scotland’s vibrant hospitality scene is a real privilege, particularly as we continue to grow and establish ourselves as a destination for great seafood and fish and chips.
We’ll be heading to Glasgow with fingers firmly crossed!

Double the nominations at the Scottish Fish & Chip Awards
Next up, we’re delighted to have received two nominations at the 2026 Scottish Fish & Chip Awards— and we couldn’t be happier!
We’re shortlisted in both of the following categories:
- Best Restaurant
- Most Innovative Menu
Recognised as the largest trade event in Scotland’s fish and chips industry, these awards celebrate the people and businesses pushing standards forward and showcasing just how exciting the world of fish and chips can be.
The awards ceremony takes place on 9th November at the DoubleTree by Hilton, Glasgow Central, and we’re looking forward to celebrating alongside some of the fantastic businesses helping to shape Scotland’s fish and chip scene.
Being nominated for both Best Restaurant and Most Innovative Menu is especially exciting. We’ve always wanted The Crab & Lobster Fish Shack to offer something a little different, bringing together the comfort and familiarity of a great fish supper with quality Scottish produce, fresh seafood and a menu that celebrates creativity.
To see that approach recognised is a huge boost for the whole team.

Can we do it again at the Forth Awards?
And, of course, there’s one more very special occasion – and they’re just around the corner: the Forth Awards 2026.
After the incredible excitement of being named Restaurant of the Year at the 2025 Forth Awards, we’re delighted to be in the running again and hoping to repeat last year’s success.
Winning that award meant so much to us. It was a wonderful recognition of the experience we strive to deliver every day, from the food we serve to the welcome our guests receive when they walk through the door.
To have the opportunity to be named Restaurant of the Year for a second year running would be absolutely fantastic. We know there are some brilliant establishments in the running, so we’ll be waiting eagerly to see what happens!
The awards ceremony takes place on 15th October 2026 at the Usher Hall in Edinburgh and we can’t wait share in the excitement once more!
A huge honour — and a big thank you
Awards season is an opportunity to reflect on how far we’ve come, but more importantly, to recognise the people who make it all possible.
We’re incredibly proud to be nominated alongside so many fabulous establishments that showcase the very best of Scottish cuisine, hospitality and local produce. The standard across Scotland is outstanding, and to be included among such talented businesses is an achievement in itself.
Of course, none of this happens without our brilliant team, whose hard work, enthusiasm and dedication make the Shack what it is. And to our customers, both old and new, thank you for choosing us, recommending us, coming back for more and supporting what we do. Your support means the world to us, and we wouldn’t be here without you.
From serving up our favourite seafood dishes to continuing to find new ways to make the traditional fish supper something special, we’re passionate about what we do — and it’s wonderful to see that passion recognised.

With four nominations across three awards ceremonies, this Autumn is shaping up to be a very exciting time for The Crab & Lobster Fish Shack.
We’ll be putting on our glad rags, celebrating the fantastic Scottish hospitality industry and, naturally, keeping everything crossed for a few special moments along the way!
Whatever the results, we’re incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved so far and excited about what’s still to come.
