We’re beyond thrilled to announce that we’ve taken home the crown for Fish & Chip Restaurant of the Year at the Scottish Restaurant Awards in Glasgow! 🎉🐟🍟
To say we’re delighted would be an understatement. To have our hard work, passion and love for great fish and chips recognised in this way is a truly special moment for everyone at the Shack.
Since opening our doors in South Queensferry, we’ve been passionate about serving fantastic fish and chips, delicious seafood and memorable meals, all with a warm welcome that makes every visit special. To see that passion recognised on such a wonderful stage means more to us than we can put into words.
And the celebrations didn’t stop there…

Just when we thought the excitement couldn’t get any bigger, we woke up to another incredible piece of news!
We’ve also been shortlisted in the Top 10 for Best Restaurant of the Year at the NFFF National Fish & Chip Awards in London! 🇬🇧✨
We honestly couldn’t be more excited. To be recognised among the very best in the country is an amazing achievement, and we’re incredibly proud to be flying the flag for South Queensferry and Edinburgh.
And here’s something that makes it even more special: we’re the only Scottish business on the shortlist!
That’s right — little old South Queensferry is heading onto the national stage, and we couldn’t be prouder to represent our wonderful corner of Scotland.
